Keep your puppy protected with a vaccination plan.

Puppies should receive their first vaccination around eight weeks of age, as this is the time their natural antibodies begin to leave the system. Their second vaccine should be given 3-4 weeks after the initial vaccine (between 11 and 12 weeks of age), where a third booster should be given between 15 and 16 weeks of age. At this third visit, the puppy will also receive their initial rabies vaccine.

What vaccinations do you provide to new puppies?

We offer rabies, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Distemper, Parvo, Adenovirus, and Parainfluenza combo. Your veterinarian will work with you to develop a protocol that works for your pet.

Why is it important to vaccinate your puppy?

It is essential to follow the vaccine protocol the doctor sets up you’re your puppy. By staying with this protocol, you reduce the risk of your puppy contracting a severe disease. Puppies immune systems are still developing are more likely to contract a virus. Missing or delaying a booster vaccine can disrupt your puppy’s ability to build the proper antibodies required to fight viruses.

At what age should I bring in my puppy for its vaccinations?

Eight weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks.

How should I prepare my puppy for its first vaccination visit?

Start by playing with your puppies at home, handling your puppy a lot will prepare it to be handled by the veterinary staff. Also bring the puppy in for a positive visit before the first exam appointment is a great idea. Our staff love to have puppy cuddles.
